So, you went to your first motorcycle race and got bit by the racing bug, didya? But you aren’t sure what or how to go about getting into racing…. Well we make it easy for you!!

RACING CHECKLIST
1. Do you own/have a motorcycle? Yes/No
2. Do you own/have a helmet? Yes/No
3. Do you own/have eye protection? Yes/No
4. Do you have Back/Chest Protection? Yes/No
5. Do you own/have riding boots? Yes/No
6. Do you own/have riding gloves? Yes/No

Optional Equipment is Recommended, but not REQUIRED….
1. Elbow/Knee Pads
2. Neck Restraints

If you have all of the required racing equipment, your well on your way to becoming a full-fledged racer!

Now what is next on the list for you to become a rider??? Well to be able to race at the Famous Piston Poppers T.T. Track, you need to be a member of the American Motorcyclist Association. Applications to apply to the AMA can be found here…

:::UPDATE::: To ALL Racers under the age of 18…. It is strongly recommended that you fill out an annual release and have it on file at the American Motorcyclist Association. It makes it that much more easier on Race Day!

NOTE: You do not have to have the annual release card done, we will still have the DAY of RACE forms available, but BOTH PARENTS of a Minor Rider Must be Present on Race Day and sign the waiver, or PROOF OF SOLE CUSTODY… NO EXCEPTIONS!

Once you have completed that step, the next step is to apply for a District 6 Membership.. This is also a yearly Membership from January 1 to December 31.

COSTS TO GO RACING!
1. AMA Membership

Option # 1 – $20 One Day Pass (AVAILABLE AT THE TRACK)
Option # 2 – $29 Youth Membership (AVAILABLE AT THE TRACK)
Option # 3 – $49 Competition Card
Option # 4 – $98 FAMILY Membership (Good for 5 people)

2. District Card

You MUST be a member of a recognized district in the AMA. If you do not have an UP TO DATE/CURRENT Card, you will be asked to fill out an application.
$20.00 One Race Pass (No Points) / $30.00 Full Year (Points Eligible)

Here is the form to fill out for all races… Have it filled out and ready when you get to the tracks, it will be quicker sign up!!

3. RACE DAY COSTS:

$35.00 for Trophy Classes / $40.00 for Money Classes. This fee is for EACH class you sign up for.

***DISCLAIMER*** Other race tracks may have a different cost to race, It’s at their own discretion.
